Owner John Irvin experienced a medical emergency in July 2021 from which he has recovered and works very hard, daily, in his dedicated bakery. His only obvious effect is speech aphasia that impacts language. He has all of his intelligence but when translating to spoken language, John is healing every day and continues to add more words to his communication. Instead of a phone call, it may be easier to send an email with any questions. Family members monitor and corresponds with customers daily. Thank you for your compassion and understanding.

- Entrepreneurial spirit: Gluten Free Things associates are encouraged to initiate creative and innovative ways of serving our customers and improving the business and to spread best practices throughout the company.
- Building strong relationships: Strong relationships are built on trust, honesty and integrity. We listen and respond to the needs of customers, associates, communities and vendors, treating them as partners and collaborating on worthwhile projects to serve the gluten free needs of our community.
- Helping other Gluten Free businesses succeed: By building strong relationships with other gluten free small businesses, we will use our buying power to help other gluten free businesses to lower their final price to their customers.
Finally, our goal is to have fun and empower our valued customers to enjoy Gluten Free Things every day!
